Company is a joke. Been around 17 years and now no job. Funny how company just resets 3000 stores over past couple months and then people that traveled and up posted these resets are let go. Nothing like using employees just to get Seven Eleven private label products in Speedway stores.

I've just checked 2022 WARN notices for the state of Texas, 7 Eleven has not notified the state:

There is nothing for the state of Ohio too:

At least someone had coverage - had it not been for this article this layoff would be completely silent. It's amazing how they were able to hide such a big cut. I think they are legally obliged to report large layoffs to the state. So, TX and OH, right, but I cannot see anything there.
They lied to CNBC and I am not surprised. CNBC called about the layoff and they told them what happened today, ok 880... But what they forgot to mention that they've been cutting for a while and will cut next week to.
Liars.
It will be 40%. The layoffs have been happening all week. It's both Enon and Irving personnel. Rumors of unhappy investors from Japan in bottom line numbers. I was one let go today very abrubtly. I work in I. T. so it's more than just a few departments. Expect more tomorrow and the next few weeks. One big IT project will be wrapping in the next few months, expect those involved to be removed as well.
Serious undercount. Marketing had nearly 100 alone. If they want every AL to have 15 stores, that would mean hundreds of ALs cut. But they want ALs to be at 18-20 stores each. Maybe someone looked up the Warn Act notification to one state alone and reported that. I could imagine that just in Enon or Irving.
i think a different CEO could've foreseen this. look at Dollar General and how they've navigated being a small format retailer as well. i have zero opinion of depinto's character but he's been CEO way too long and the company/the board needs new fresh perspective and leadership. they just dont have many groomed. he should really try to find new challenges as well.
They call that journalism? Seems like a pay piece plant by you-know-who. Not one comment from the laidoff or even a hint of there being a different perspective.
