I feel very sorry for those who are affected. I know it is very difficult to be loyal to this company for years, to give your best and then find out in a very ugly way that you are no longer needed.
This is also a lesson to those of us who survived that we should not wait for them to show us the door, nor burn out from work because it is not worth it!

We are needed. And they are fu---d without us.
I was suppose to start work the day they made the announcement. I feel wronged that they didn't rescind my offer earlier instead of delaying my start. It's like they made the decision the night before. Just rescind all offers, it wouldn't have spooked anyone. I waited two months. Layoffs were obviously coming, but a third of the workforce. That's ridiculous. Luckily I still haven't moved or quit my previous job. Precautions.
I feel relieved. Would suck to clean up all the mess just to get laid off later anyway.
