Lots more yellow death skips have appeared in my camp neighbourhood…
Not seen many new faces except for the Saudi families moving in the street. How long before there are zero expats?

Do you think this is a new phenomenon? This has been going on in one form or another in KSA for decades. Just look around and see how much money is wasted on various projects.
Lots of JVs being spun up with “single source” arrangements….kickbacks are off the scale. Everyone in management has their hands in the till.
How long? I bet for 2030 as deadline.
It's a new part of the corruption, they created new companies to provide consultants, still you will be expensive but now a big chunk is going to a local.
At the end company will need to face several investigations after all matter is going under the carpet.
They prefer consultants as it gives them a “fall guy” when things go south.
More importantly though it’s a “legit” avenue to skim and make a ki----g. They’re all at it.
Saudi Aramco will survive with you or without you, Enjoy your early retirement.
Contractors and consultants.
So 10000 coolies on $50 a day and 2000 highly qualified remain. With 67000 employees that’s not even 3%. Question is, Who’s going to do the actual high skilled work when they’re all gone?
Currently expat population is around 12000 with Western expats in a couple of thousands, most of them close to retirement within next 2 years.
Regardless, IR and housing manual states that a Saudi national can't be longer than 5 years in a Aramco Residential compound so eventually, Camps will suffer same destiny, go for a third company to administrate them for a higher rent with services.
Can’t be more than a few hundred left now?
Saudization! Coming to a compound near you.
That is the goal. Muslim expats will be the last to go.
