Proof that those planes are being sold below the market value???????????????
What we're witnessing at Farnborough is a fire sale of the MAX aircraft that have been parked in Moses Lake. Like others have said, they're likely being sold at/below cost to just get rid of them in a type of "going out of business" sale. It's a harbinger of things to come, not an indicator Boeing is rebounding.
VietJet also has 99 Airbus A320neo’s on order too. To make this more unbelievable 80 of the 100 planes they ordered from Boeing are Max10’s, a plane that almost certainly won’t get approval by the FAA before December. HaHa!
The devil is always in the details.
My bet is that Boeing is selling these jets at/below cost (significantly undercutting Airbus) in an desperate attempt to force the FAA to re-certify the Max, because "Hey, look at all these customers you will be pi----g off if you don't!?"
In other words, the company's profit margin (or at least what little still exists) will be taking an even bigger hit despite the increase in sales over the coming quarters.
GM was doing the exact same thing in its final days before the catastrophic bankruptcy.
Its not being a hater to witness the downfall of this once great company. boeing was taken over by a too big to fail company and brought their failed policies with them. 25 year ex employee. good luck yall
old broken down Mother Boeing hobbling along on her walker in 2022 still peddling her obsolete antiquated 1964 airplane and still thinking she is relevant...#sad
Airbus has twice the aircraft orders Boeing has. If they could deliver them sooner then would be an even bigger difference.
