If Ford was to make you a job offer, would you accept?

No sugar coating. Please explain why or why not.

If you want to ruin your talent then come to Ford.

If you don't care about the products that Ford makes, then come to Ford.

I rather work for a company that I am proud of.

Most Ford employees don't tell their neighbors or friends that they work at Ford. Think about that.

I recalled this post from a time ago.
I indeed have gone to Ford - and it's real and it's fantastic.

No. Elon is an interesting person. The Ford family, not so much.

Certainly depends on what you actually do.
But pretty clearly, Teslas will be like Duesenbergs and Packards by 2035.
Collectible early luxury EVs.
As, in 'that's a Duesy... no wait, itza X Plaid'.

Fords will still be on the skyways.

No.

I worked in a union factory before tesla, during the 2008 recession. They acted like bullies and a mob. As an engineer I was designing production infrastructure, and was never even allowed to interact hands-on with it, maintain it, improve it, because I was "taking someone's job". Tesla engineers are hands on and highly motivated from cradle to grave of a project, spanning every technical discipline along the way. I'm not going to work at a company that limits my output to a small sliver of contribution, partitioning the entire project into a 50 person deliverable.

Tesla engineers are too independent of overachievers for an environment that ford fosters.

Probably not. Since it involves moving to Michigan and therefore leaving California. Next to that, no shares and much lower pay to be expected. Ford is also laying off, quite significantly.
