Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

AP Question

So can someone explain why Ap can accuse you of everything under the sun /follow you around /write reports on you and try to put out money to catch you for something you aren't doing but if you do it to them you could be fired?
I had a ops/ap clown had me in its office after i called out his head AP clown on following me around the store when i wasn't doing anything at all. same AP then says i was throwing things in the stock room in a area that i never go in and even went back there with a flashlight to see if he found something..(he found nothing).. but it didn't end there.. The head of AP/Ops asked me why i went into lord and Taylor (when it was around.). so my first thought was they are watching me on my break on my day off in the mall. isn't this against the policy for AP to go off the curb? Why Yes it is.. Yet if i walk into another store on my break I'm up to no good.. who is the clown to finds these AP wanna be Fbi mall cop flunkies? They have no clue. The head Ops/ap is too busy at top golf and eating Italian chocolates to even have a clear head about anything.. how do these clowns get a job doing this?

I would suggest taking what you post seriously and not trying to re-hash years old material. Lord and Taylor closed over a year ago. Threads created talking about this won't be taken seriously except from people who already have a negative mindset on the matter and won't change their opinion even if proved wrong. What happened a month ago, 2 months ago, three years ago, none of it matters because it's in the past and it isn't right to just assume your negative experience is the same as every single place. Even in the case that you're story is true and the AP team was stealing; this is an outlier. If it's true, then they got what they deserved and were fired and likely had criminal charges pressed against them. Can this happen only in Macy's? No. Every large retailer has management teams, AP teams, etc. and there are stories like that everywhere. If you're going to judge all the apples in the basket by one bad apple then it's already pointless to discuss and debate with you because you're just looking for people to agree with your viewpoint in bashing whatever it is you disagree with. I mean it's a little out there already in the fact that you created this post and bashed AP from your negative experience in which they "followed" you around and failed to mention, in said post, that they were caught for stealing. You only decided to add that when others didn't agree with what you were saying. But hey, what do I know. Have a good day

You sound like corporate clown who hasn't a clue what goes on in the stores. AP in all stores have a chip on their shoulders.. they all act like they Pooh dont stink.. it does.. they are overzealous ,egomaniac , low IQ ..wanna be cops. So go kick rocks in your silly office pretending like you know something clown

lol, so, because you had a negative experience in your store I guess it only makes sense to suggest that all AP in the company is like that as well. So, if you run a red light one time I guess it's okay to group you into the same category as a criminal the rest of your life, right? :-D

I imagine if an employee was stealing, someone would be watching cameras and not following you around the store. Sounds like you just wanna bi--h.

Macy’s AP is the worst to its own employees than the other big box stores I’ve worked to. When I began with the company, in my district they were required to have X number of “random” interrogations - sorry - I mean interviews with colleagues. I had never heard of that before…in previous companies they weren’t allowed to interview associates/colleagues until at least had a verified suspicion and rough idea of what the case may be. AP got better as it was reigned in a bit with the consolidations but far more hostile towards it own employees than is the norm in the industry.
Still just like the rest of the culture from store management to Herald Square…it’s dog eat dog, every man for himself. The good ones don’t last in the swamp.

"Okay, so what WERE you doing in Lord & Taylor?? I'm willing to bet you were there, up to no good and their manager/ap called your store to tell them that they saw you stealing. I've been former operations/ap at a specialty company and you get to know the people of the mall quickly. Not only did they recognize you, but this probably wasn't your first incident."

Yes i was there giving my friend a dunkin donuts gift card for her bday.. she used to work at macys and switch teams. so no i wasn't doing anything there nor was i stealing from either company but nice try clown.. now go out your magnum PI hat back on and go retrain on your Macys VHS tapes training for clown AP like you.. No its called Harassment . but the iron of the whole store is this.. the entire LP/ap clowns all got fired in my store. from what you may ask Mr Know it all? for stealing ! EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM GOT CAUGHT STEALING !!..

Document with dates and times. Open an in store solutions case. But have definite dates and times to prove what you are saying. Will it solve it, probably not but your protection is if you feel ANY type of retaliation for opening the case, you report it. One of the few things that’s true about MACY’S is the no retaliation policy. It’s not tolerated. I am a former AST Supervisor/MBA. I left that horrible culture with the majority of executives being rotten, nasty, unethical people. Not all executives but the majority.
