There's a rumor going around that there'll be at least two more rounds of layoffs before this is over. Can anybody confirm whether this is true and if it is which orgs are expected to be targeted? I know engineers are most likely safe but what about the rest of us?

Just rumours. Why would they do different rounds? Why wouldn't they do everything in one round? When making some people redundant, the faster the better for everyone.
It's not like Microsoft is losing money and at risk, so those layoffs are just about optimisation.
I've heard the same, I am not sure if it's a valid rumor though. I'd be curious if someone wiht more info has details.
