I feel sorry for everyone who is affected. I hope at least that the best and most talented ones did not get laid off. It would be awful if they were cut and those whose positions greatly exceed their competences survived

It happened that way in 2020. Don't be surprised if it happens that way again and again in the 2nd round of layoffs. We are left with a skeleton staff and management with no interest in actually managing just collecting their large paychecks.
