Horizon does NOT charge for vSphere used for hosting the desktops. Being a separate company means... buying vSphere lic for Horizon desktop... adding to the price. A huge deployment of Citrix runs on vSphere... and they are still are competing... it would not be easy for EUC to justify the price then

With the likelihood of VMWare spinning down their EUC division (Not Airwatch / MDM...that would make a great spin off) since, according to 10K it is not a significant source of revenue, Bob probably see at least a little opportunity in picking up what little deployments there was of WSOne (Non MDM).
