Just wanted to say how sorry I am to read about the latest layoffs at CDK.
Parachuting Brian McDonald back in is a very strange thing to do. It is well known that his former employment was for the sole purpose of cutting back and making savings, at all costs. He was hired for a short time for that purpose alone, to then replaced by someone a little more inspiring.
He had a strong reputation among employees and customers for being public enemy number one - now they’ve wheeled him back out for another round? What are they thinking.
You and your customers don’t deserve this.
You were promised better by BK, and so we’re the customers - they were promised personally that support would improve, and stay there.
Stay strong everyone - new opportunities might be around the corner for you.
Contractor or FTE, bottom line it still means LESS resources to service our Clients
Do you mean 200+ critical contractors ? Contractors are not laid off. Their contract ends. It is a known risk when you join a company as a contractor . FTE layoff is a valid concern. Let’s not conflate things
Whoever thinks this is a lie. We have already lost a few in our dept. My understanding is all contractors were laid off.
I don't understand what Brookfield was thinking. We finally just got our company back on good footing, customers have started trusting us again, morale was up, some customers that left under MacDonald's last reign came back, and customer satisfaction was also up. Now, not even 2 weeks into his next reign of te---r, we've lost 200+ critical people.
Why Brookfield? Why would you allow such a horrible person back into the CDK fold.
And please, don't insult our intelligence by saying, last time he had his orders and carried them out and the same now because THAT is a lie!
I hope someday Brookfield and MacDonald get a conscience and feel the pain they have inflicted on CDK for their actions.
Shame on you, shame on all of you!
CDK Senior Manager of an Engineering team here told today that my position is being eliminated. I hope that this place burns to ground and Brookfield and sift through the ashes.
