I have a part time job outside the RR as well as work a yard job for the RR to make end meet. A co worker was telling me that I could get in trouble for having another job if I get hurt or have an accident. Any one know if this is true and if so how are people supposed to get by on our wages without a second income. I sure wish I knew where to find one of those 150k a year jobs we supposedly have.

If you take a leave of absence and work another job. That could lead to termination.
Several coworkers have side businesses. Management knows about it and uses the business at home.

It just can’t interfere with your railroad job. If there is a conflict of interest it needs to be reported.
I don’t know what craft you are in so it’s impossible to know how much you make. In transportation there are a lot of conductors and engineers that make over 100K. If you are having to work 2-3 jobs, maybe you should look for a different career field. Give more detail on your posting and you might get real advice instead of just bashing the company (which is warranted in most cases).
