So far only one of my colleagues has left but I'm worried about more people leaving because I'll end up drowning in work.

Are any of your teams backfilling?
I would say look now rather than later. Some companies are getting spooked by recession talk. And its also surprisingly competitive. The employee's market is probably over. If this deal takes a year, spend all of it looking for another position until you get an offer. Because it may take a year to find a new job.
Interviewing with 3 companies that I like, declined to interview with 3 others that I was less enthused about. If I'm lucky enough to get an offer from one of them I'll take it and put in my 2 weeks as soon as the offer is official. I've only had one person leave my team so far, lots of people with a "stay and fight" attitude which makes 0 sense to me.
I am leaving in a couple of weeks. I am part of Tanzu
Start looking for an external job. It's almost recession time, so if you find a job before it hits that would be the best. It's not easy going through long processes of interviews especially if you haven't interviewed in a long time.
More than a few in sales. I’m glad to see this too. Means people are focused on what’s good for their careers.
“Leaving like flies” — that made me chuckle. I think you meant leaving like trees. 🤣
None of my team members have left saying they will leave only with retrenchment compensation as they tenured employees.
I have lost track of how many left from Tanzu Labs, but that is just a continuation of a trend that's been ongoing since late 2019.
People in IT Engineering are leaving like flies. We have lost 4 in our team and our boss just informed us of a hiring freeze now is in place, even for backfilling attrition.
3 left from a team of 14
Two have left from our group.
