Thread regarding First American Corp. layoffs

Don't blame First American Title

It would be dishonest to blame First American Title for layoffs. Every employee should have known of their history with laying people off. If you didn't hear of their poor management, you would have most likely experienced it shortly after you started. It was a game, to play you had to accept that fact and not take it seriously. I was able to collect a pay check for much longer than I thought. Because the managers are weak the company is very transparent. Myself and others should be very thankful that First American Title sent us paychecks, again thank you!

To answer that question correctly you have to be cynical. Believe me it is a blessing.

It's not a 'blessing' to be laid off. My cousin was laid off from this company and she recently found out she's pregnant. She had already put in for her leave of absence way ahead of time, despite not being due until next year. Even if she manages to get a new job now (she's applied to many places and is actively interviewing), she won't be eligible for FMLA.

From what I heard, they're laying people off but there is NOT A HIRING FREEZE. How does that make sense?

Why would you blame employees that were serious about their positions for being upset about getting layed-off. It is not fair what managers are allowed to do and say, they are supported.
