"ENB is a skeleton, being held together by string and bubble gum..."

How many more years do we have to hear this before we call it "hokum"? By my count we're up to seven, and so far the company is doing fine.

I did hear a rumor of another VWO with the new Houston office being overcrowded. But I also heard we may expand and take more floors from McDermott. Could go either way.

To avoid layoffs they're managing costs with a hiring freeze.

ENB is a skeleton, being held together by string and bubble gum.

We are more likely to see a hiring binge than mass layoffs of any sort at this point..

Significant layoffs would absolutely gut this company, there is literally no fat left to trim. Further layoffs would have me very concerned for the safety of the infrastructure.

They're bleeding too many employees to other firms offering WFH and more pay. There is no need or ability to lay off when you're already losing talent at the highest rate in the last 15 years.

I agree with that. BOEF and VWO took a good chunk out of the workforce. Finance HR SCM they probably still have some low hanging fruit but the rest of the company has been carved up enough over the last five years that cutting down significantly will be more difficult.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that you could completely gut asset performance and Infrastructure Planning. They are clearly over paid and bring nothing to the table. 😁

Well, Enbridge is protected against low oil prices but barred from full participation in record levels. Such is the fate of the transporter.

The parts of the company that may still see layoffs are the support groups, such as finance and HR. As the company goes further down the partner path, those are prime targets.

You won't see much movement in the rest of the company, except in the case of divestiture of arms of business. They've already cut as far as they reasonably can.

Is there another round? I hope not since oil prices are at record highs.
