With ISM it seems associates are just "recovering" and bullshitting and avoiding registers like the plague. It seems there's more registers with gobacks piled up than actual manned ones with customers getting helped by associates. Every single department except jewelry and fragrance is a sh-t show. Store manager is fuming, the managers are clueless, old support team is livid, fulfillment can't do the IFR without waking the whole store because merchandise is literally everywhere, they are over worked and exhausted. What are you doing, Macy's?

The very idea of creating schedules for a department store with no departments is insane. The very reason for a dept store itself obliterated.
ISM has not made a difference in my store. Merchandisers are still just merchandising and Sales Associates are still just selling. Sales Associates still get scheduled to close and Merchandisers do not.
If you haven’t rang out a customer or used a register for any reason in 10 years, you’re lucky or something. New employees have to figure it out and since you’ve work at Macys for 10 years, you can too.
In my store I got a text message asking if I was going to come in. I responded saying I am on my way. My store had 10 callouts today. So I am ringing I haven’t rang in over 10 years. Didn’t go to register training at all. I can’t wait till the holidays come and see what happens
This sounds like Deerbrook?
In my store, most people are doing the same thing as they did before ISM. The sales associates before ISM are still the sales associates and they are scheduled to work the all of the store’s open to close hours. The sales support associates before ISM are still the sales support associates and they are scheduled to work up until 6:00 pm weekdays. And like before ISM, the sales support associates may still be needed to work an occasional weekend day shift.
The store I work has gotten so bad. If you are selling floor support they walk around for they while shift with a rod or refold the same table. The ringers just stay behind the register in their phone till a customer approaches. The floors look like a bo-b went off. You don’t know where anything goes all departments are mixed. It’s a sh-t show
As long as Jeff doesn't have to wait in line to make a purchase- ISM is a success.
sounds about right.. remember who they layed off in 2020 and all those people moved on and M has turned into a dumpster fire
