Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

New HQ campus landlord DMN article

Finally changed ownership. Still doesn’t release Fossil from their lease obligations. And LOL for marketing basically all of the surrounding surface parking lots and empty grass around the buildings/ parking garage - 9 acres - as developable land. EEESH it’s gonna be ugly getting boxed in with neighbors but hey! It’s no longer giving off the ‘dead mall’ aesthetic…

And still mentioned is Fossil seeking to sublease 135,000 SF of “surplus office space.”
Surplus. You know, the desks, offices, meeting rooms, etc. across multiple floors which was increasingly abandoned by 9 years of layoffs , re-orgs, and has become an eerie dystopian nightmare to be forced to occasionally occupy.
This place is haunted in so many ways.

Enjoy re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic..

Spot on with dead mall aesthetic and being haunted in all the ways. Maybe spirits Halloween store could post up shop for the next few months and help resurrect fossil fright. Really take it to the next level and do one of those fresssshhhh colabs - Spirits Halloween X FOSSIL. BO-M, JUST SAVED THE COMPANY

This could work in Fossil's favor as they may be able to negotiate their lease with the new owners or even get out of the lease.
