Now we have two years of last 5% expat cut during COVID pandemic but every three years they are firing people as per their schedule policy of ELP. So next batch will be so agressive as last one, another 5% or higher?, western people will continue being the target or they will start including middle east expats (when performance is really an issue)?, those close to 7 or 10 years in global payroll needs to be worried?.

With recent changes and transfers between departments, I would bet for next December for and early quota in ELP.
Once you reach 59 start to worry, once you are closer to 10 years start to worry.

It is a relief after you leave the place.
For some, layoff was a relief.
Actually meetings start already, at some point will reach supervisory level but manager takes final decision, and yes, same formula western higher salaries, now there is no any protegees as happens in the pass. VP will check doesn't cheat as in past layoffs.
Only management knows and they will not tell employees. Always be looking for another job. Nobodies job is secure EVER. That goes for any company.
