I am exhausted and super depressed. Poor scheduling is ruining all my plans. Work-life balance is almost non-existent for me and I am now looking for another job.
It's not that complicated for the company to resolve scheduling issues, is it? Maybe it just takes a little more will to do the right thing?

Unionize. Then they'll have no choice but to fix it
Of course they could make the scheduling better. They don’t want to. They want their computer system to do it because doing the scheduling this way saves them money and that is ALL they care about. The sooner you understand this, the better.
The people at the top of this company have given up on increasing sales this year. They’re going to try and make their profitability from cutting costs and YOU are their biggest cost. So, guess what? You’re not getting ANY over time, no matter how under staffed they are. They’re cutting all supplies to the bone, firing anyone who gives too deep discounts, and letting Kronos make the schedule despite the fact that it leaves HUGE holes in coverage and causes endless customer service problems.
It’s the plan to try and eke out their sales goals and margin for the year. It won’t work, but they’re going to do whatever they can, so expect more insanity as it gets worse during the second half of the year. Just wait until you see what they’ve got planned for you then.
Do yourself a favor, speed up that job search.
That's why they call it LO----E..uhh I mean

Not like the good old days when we had a set schedule, 1 weekend off a month and you could count what days you were off. That's why I quit back last May and couldn't be happier.
