Maybe not everyone will agree with me but I believe that attrition will increase in the coming period. That is my personal impression. If it comes to that, what will Aramco do to keep people? Will the company do anything at all?

Strategy, they should start googling the definition first LOL!
The best employees are the ones who can be of use to their manager or leave!
As per their view, you are leaving in the best country, at their expenses and receiving more money than you deserve, so why do you want or need to leave?. If you have intention to resign you will considered disloyal and expendable. so retention is not part of their vocabulary.
Major oil companies retain people in the past because they know how much invest in you, in training and corporate expertise plus the experience, currently Aramco does not value any of this, you can be replace at any time without issues, as per they think.
Based on past performance, actions and culture, Saudi Aramco will voice many platitudes, have many carefully structured workshops to produce pre-ordained outcomes and recommendations that Management can "action" to produce the results that Management want (i.e.) less expats, more Saudis. Wasta dictates outcomes and decides who are the "talent" and best employees... the rest is just window dressing, pure choreographed show business....
Aramco does not have the ability to identify it’s best employees let alone retain them.
