Middle management should mind its own business

I'm getting tired of middle management's interference in our work. I had to make countless changes because they think its more efficient/less costly, when in most cases the opposite is true. Of course, if you try to say something you are ignored. Our opinions do not matter, despite the fact that we are the ones doing the work they are talking about and know more about it than they will ever dream. Whatever.

Middle and lower management are mostly new to both the tech field and in many cases business itself. These “fresh eyes” lack an understanding of best practices and use terms they don’t grasp in an effort to sound intelligent. Yesterday I asked a director to explain what she meant by a phase she repeated several times… it was obvious, she had no idea what she was saying. Citrix is managed by executives listening to VPs who are listening to directors who are NOT listening to individuals who actually do the work at Citrix.

Which level do you consider middle management? Especially in sales, there can be up to 6 or 7 levels of management most of which are not increasing sales revenue.
