At least we know that we're safe until the acquisition is finalized. There'll be no major moves made right ahead of the deal, as nobody wants to rock the boat right now. So look at the next few months as a rare chance to enjoy some job security, even if it will most likely be short-lived.

Why does everyone think CA laid people off after the announcement date? No layoffs occurred after the acquisition announcement. Not one. The company did a layoff in April. Check the filings, this is all public record. If you are going to put inaccurate information out there you are just making the situation worse for those of us at VMWARE. Stop.
IF you are in Sales and Marketing FIND YOUR NEXT JOB NOW!!! Don't delay looking, the economy is rapidly souring as the Fed tightens, you don't want to be unemployed in a recession looking for a Sales job. You simply don't. Now is your time to act.
give me some of that splef
They will be staff moves (i.e. layoffs) before the close - though that will not happen until the acquisition process passes all regulations (expected Oct/Nov 2022) and the rest of the process becomes admin until close (expected mid 2023). That's normal in all acquisitions and part of the work of the integration team.
No major moves before the acquisition? It’s there a document somewhere confirming this? Because it’s a near certainty there will be reductions before closing date, as was the case with CA and Symantec deals.
Are you for real?
