Another one out last week, another turned in a notice this week, and virtually all of them looking. It’s going to be a rough ride until there are changes from the top

A few more in the last couple of weeks. 37% of LPs from the start of the year have moved on.

Nothing to see here, right?!?! No problem at the top I assume. No issue with HR controlling everything and not letting supervisors and managers run their own department.

Totally agree as Eagle Ford and Bakken have been fully drilled with limited longer opportunity. Both fields are in decline. MRO needs a long term plan. Lee.....what it the plan?

Nope, energy transition. We need both Oil/Gas and clean energy. The writing is on the wall, get over it. Adapt or die - ask Kodak or Blockbuster. Oil and gas will be needed long term for building materials and some energy. MRO needs a transition plan - why is Lee and BOD sticking his heads in the sand with the reality coming our way.

So an oil and gas company needs more landmen, but they need experience in another industry? Truly a great idea.

We need land folks that has experience in solar and wind rights. The writing is on the wall. Leadership team needs to transition plan from oil/gas to clean energy. Other wards, MRO will be the next Kodak/Blockbuster/Blackberry/Nokia/etc.

Do we even need landmen anymore? I'm sure we could write a macro or something to accomplish the same thing

MRO always has used the total compensation "Line" as a means to hire/retain employees as being competitive in the market. HR has been silent on the the LTIP cut. Deep down, Jill Ramshaw knows it was wrong but had to support Lee's direction. The leadership team needs to come out and explain how this is competitive in the current labor market. The fact they have not - they know it is not competitive.

To that person asking why pay grades will determine who leaves - I think you are either too new to the organization or an outsider.

That said, MRO cut the stock portion of the compensation (LTIP) to everybody believe grade 14. It made up at least 25% of total compensation and hasn’t been replaced with any other type of program. Essentially, how do we cut everybody’s wages without having to report it as a wage cut.
