There are ~1500 openings in US. Are they real hirings? What is the chance of next layoff this year or next year?

Youd wonder how many would be filled. I have been ghosted by HR and the Hiring Manager for a role recently.
Not even the decency to give me an auto generated rejection email.
Does that mean q already dishonor the contract? But it does not surprise me, q is already an Indian company
Most tech companies post FAKE jobs, just to make it look like they are hiring.
We have too many fats beyond Principle Eng at Qualcomm. We should start layoffs rather than hiring. 20% cut makes sense.
Every tech company is freezing hiring or started layoffs and although one wouldn’t necessarily classify Qualcomm as a tech company - even Intel is looking to cut cost
Qualcomm will have to cut cost - so a lot of hiring will be needed to bring in cheaper labor once the layoffs begin
