Individual contributor bonus

As our "individual-contributor" bonus is paid in April, I guess that if we will be lay off before this month we will not receive anything right?

I’m exhausted with all the chat here. It’s so depressing. I just hope everything starts to settle down as we could be in limbo for a long time. We should work to get through it as best we can.

my hope is that Broadcom would give generous payouts to those leaving to minimize bad press

ideally they would accelerate the bonus payout as well as the next RSU vest

I'm curious about this as well. I would most likely stick it out if there is a more than likely chance of being paid out the April bonus. Even if it's slightly pro-rated.

This is all negotiated by your current VMWARE management. At CA, we were paid a prorated bonus if we were let go. I know this was not common for Broadcom. They will never pay more than they have to, but they are typically fair and will do what is legally required and nothing more.

That is possible. Though you would think with the year ending in Jan, and all the work done, they should negotiate in that bonuses are paid even if it is part of severance. But I wont hold my breath.
