Post id bywj+1h32KHCI, if you don't want to be in a union... then don't apply for, or accept a union job. Be a contractor, no risk of "falling prey" to a baaaad union there.

I'm surprised at the amount of anti-union rhetoric that I see on this page. It's true that unions are not near as effective as they have been in the past, but I'd be terrified to see how FTR would fu-k us over if they had free reign to do whatever they wanted.

You mean they don't have free reign now? The company holds you by the ba--s. They can declare a second bankruptcy or say, "sc--w it chapter 7 all bets are off. Good luck, that time will come.

You're missing the point. If I don't want to be a part of the Union, it should be within my rights to refuse to be a union member. Unless the union is so pathetic it can't survive without forcing people to be a member. Logic is hard for the mob bosses around here.

I'd say quitting and working somewhere else would probably do the trick

Post id 8lyg+1h32KHCI, I'm hardly a boss... not even e-board. Just someone who's more than a little sick of union members who are also union bashers. The selfish "I" mentality of what's in it for me, me, me is why the union is spiraling into the toilet. We have none of the unity of decades past, and very little of the passion. Maybe not you specifically, but every in-house employee knew they were signing on for a union job and all that the responsibility entails. You are union represented, whether you like it or not. The union will fight for your job, whether you like it or not. We are trying to exist in a fu---d up state and a fu---d up economy, and we're fighting for a decent living from a company that owes us. Maybe just for now, you can keep the negative union bashing to yourself (or selves), knowing that management are among your readers on this site. Every time a cr-p, anti-union comment is added... they take that as another little win and another little confirmation that they can get away with dismissing us and all that we did for them during the pandemic and the bankruptcy. Your comments may be exactly why they refuse to give us ANYTHING! Da---t, pull your heads out and realize that management is a united front against the hourly employees. Our only way through this is to fight fire with fire.... as a union.

To the author of post id 5vtq+1h32KHCI, when YOU'RE trying to adopt a superior tone to union members who actually participate in the process, grammar counts. The way you did it, YOUR comment was merely found to be amusing by the "mafia bosses".

Every should wear their boxers backwards for the 8-12 inch package that Frontier will give them out the door. No one is going to retire. Not on my watch!

What job classifications were offered the package in FL? How many bodies are they looking for? How much is the company offering? And how long do the employees have to decide? Inquiring minds want to know!
