I’m exhausted with all the chat here. It’s so depressing. I just hope everything starts to settle down as we could be in limbo for a long time. We should work to get through it as best we can.

I have been in negation mode all week, but it's a fact that the amazing and employee-focused company we have been part of will be gone soon. Let's be grateful for such amazing culture and perks that we all enjoyed. The scare and fear we all have is because working at VMware was TOO GOOD and there are not many companies so employee-focused out there. I have never been jealous of my FAANG friends because being at VMware was so cool for me and my family.
Thank you for the positive comments of many at this 'darkest hour'. I'm checking out of this board for good (I know it will be difficult) and will focus on myself, either with BC or somewhere else, the latter most likely if what I read about BC being a very successful, and even profitable, dictatorship is even half-true. I learned with all this sh**t that money does not dictate my happiness, appreciation does.
I just wanted to commend the person that made the last comment. I could not have said it better myself. The way I look at this? Maybe sometimes it's good at get out of your comfort zone. Makes you do things like update that resume, contact your friends and other former associates, start looking out there to see what's available.
Let me just say I've been through this more times than I can count. And it's stressful every single time. But somehow one way or another it works out in the end. And it will for you as well
Look, it is depressing. But I promise you this…. You will find another great job. Best to be prepared for the worst with Broadcom and focus on the future. I can’t think of anyone that is doing worse off, either people that stayed or that were let go. Some people are earning more and miserable; some are earning less and thrilled. What is mean to be is meant to be. Take a break from this site and just focus on what you can do to improve your experience and learn from this. You will be better off in the end.
yeah, but probably you are not considered part of "We" from management/executives perspective.
