They sure love to brag about the free market, but global neocons capitalism is a system that not only runs on greed, but also further insanely breeds it. It's fine to be greedy when the employer does it by asking its employees to overextend their altruism, but when employees simply ask for some compensation and real benies, in a business environment mind you, you're labeled as greedy and then demonized for having the audacity to not provide extra services out of the goodness of your heart. Like no, I'm sorry, but if you wish to take advantage of those additional services you will need to upgrade to employee+ Stage 69 premium deluxe pay plan. Nothing personal, just business. Say no to the US empire
Sounds the the corporation is having financial troubles. I would think the type of staff mentioned in this thread would be revenue producing. I guess that 15+ billion the feds are making them pay for losing the fraud case is hurting their profits.

22 infusion pharmacy branches closing. All staff within the branch (operations) and sales teams at those branches will be let go unless finding internal transfer. Many thoughts regarding why certain branches were chosen vs others, some thoughts have been regarding size/volume of business and number of UHC lives in that branch area (closing down branches were there was not a large population of UHC payer lives). But no confirmation of reason. But we do know this was 1 day after Coram announced their layoffs and restructuring of infusion and specialty … strange the timing.
Yes. 23 Specialty Infusion pharmacy stores are affected. There will be hundreds of affected personnel from PCC,’s to Nursing managers, pharmacists, up a the senior director level in my area.
I have until July 1 to secure interval placement or out the door.
24 branches closed throughout the country for OptumRX Infusion. No word on final numbers. There is a town hall tomorrow to explain it. The horrible leadership is to blame.
My wife was a patient care coordinator she was told today July 1 would be her last day. No reason or justifiable cause.
Infusion side, 2 nurses laid off. Which pharmacies are closing?
responsetoillwillresponse, oh well, duh. I guess the question marks threw me off and my mind reading machine is on the fritz.
I was in the meeting. We were divided into two groups. The safe group and the Aug 11 will be your last day with Optum group. In my Aug 11 is our last day group. about 8 managers and 70 some nurses were let go. We are all from the Medicare and Retirement program.
Infusion side, 22 pharmacies shutting down. Nurse, technician, pharmacist, and supporting staff
There was a meeting at OPTUM this afternoon with layoffs. I’m not sure of the exact department but there were several nurses given notice for layoff.
Yes it was.
Guess there will be layoffs
i don’t think the person writing this was actually asking for an answer, but rather expressing concern.
How on earth could anyone answer this question given the size of this company and no other information provided in your post?
When? Just for Optum…or?
