A company exists to make money and Broadcom knows how to. There’s no time nor tolerance for water distributor gossips. Do your fair share and go home. I guess that making money is what people work for, right?
Hock is a smart Harvard/MIT boy. His acquisitions always pan out.
Compare this to the acquisitions at Cisco or VMWare that die out (also blamed on Michael Dell's shenanigans).
Hock has made the valuation as high as Cisco's in a very short amount of time...with only 20,000 employees!!
This is impressive!
He's not wrong, Broadcom is a great stock and fantastically well run company. It just doesn't sound all that great to work for.
You only need to refer to one line from the embedded Goldman Sachs note:
"Broadcom generates the highest gross margins within our coverage universe."
What more needs to be said when evaluating a STOCK (not a company, not their morals, not their treatment of their employees or acquisitions).
makes sense. Broadcom is a solid business from a finance perspective. Their numbers look like a solid old school company that is not in tech... Only they are a tech company with some unheard of financials for a tech.
Just look at all previous AVGO acquditions and then look at stock price 2 years after... let the data make the argumnt for you.
Broadcom will easily beat market by 3-4X
