Anyone gotten one yet? If your manager offered you one, would you take it?

A retention bonus can be offered at any time. No need for a major move in a company.
Yep! And so few will get them, in situations like this, that not everyone knows they exist. (Partially because usually one of the conditions is to not discuss that you received such an offer)
Retention starts now, not when the deal is closed. Identifying those individuals and securing them to stay until the deal is done, even if they are not part of the long term plan, is part of the work of the transition team - who will start in full swing after the go-shop period ends.
Lol. It will all happen in beginning of November. Sure if you will be offered one you have to accept.
How can you have already been offered a retention bonus when the deal is not even closed?
