I have taken up a new position at Kirkhill recently. A huge amount of money has been spent on the open plan office upstairs along with 4 large meeting rooms but no more than 5 desks were occupied when I got my walk around. A real waste of money in my opinion.
My direct Supervisor looks to be well stressed with the workload handed down and the reorganisation of some of the sheds it is simply chaotic.
The AMO manager looks like he’s getting run into the ground but this place has good AMO techs.
Many tea breaks exist during the day and a ‘manyana’ attitude with many people seeing out there time it’s a splendid place to work.

Battered Daily and now the tea breaks are becoming strict!
Week on week the whole place seems to get worse. Another reorganisation with regards to the site which quite frankly makes me wonder what it’s all about. I’ve seen it all before here - If it ain’t broke don’t fix it !
Everybody seems pi---d off including the younger workforce.
I like slow pace and tea breaks. Nothing wrong with Baker Hughes.
Hey @2gmr+1gzWFyoy?
Are you me?
I also work at Kirkhill and enjoy the work pace. Only gripe I have is in the last year they have failed to pay the laundry bill twice for washing the coveralls!
The Manyana attitude comes from those who have frankly given all the F’s they muster over the years, & realise that that it seems to make little difference in the end, so why stress about something you have no control over, & can’t really improve.
BH is a company where the more dedication & interest you put in, the less they seem to think of you – the rot is set in, & there’s no going back.
If it was another industry, the doors would have closed long ago, so suck it up, take 5 - 10 if you wish, & keep picking up the pay cheque.
It’s what they do at the Top, so follow by example.
