Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Do you think anyone in HR/VP/EVP level looks at this?

No decisions, no guts, no risks. no accountability.

What happens when it all comes tumbling down? What is all this snooping going to get?

The more I know, the less I understand.

I have been part of this org for decades. One thing for sure organisation has evolved in a very reactive way in the last years. Wonder who listens anyway. The amount of churn at all levels, has left all in the org in a state of disbelief on the amount of change. Nothing is allowed to stick or for that matter thought through well. So much feedback and nothing learnt. All feedback is paraphrased back , as the ones surveyed are the ones who don’t get the message and let’s yell at all
of them even louder, so they understand.
All this frantic activity has exhausted the die hard 3M ‘ers.
Everyone knows Leadership changes faster everyday , which means they are not close to know their orgs and develop many trustful relationships. All these initiatives are thrown in the employees faces , but who trusts this leadership, who lead their teams to sheer exhaustion.. wave after wave of them moving in and out, trying to shine some light and failing to address the basic. That trust has to be built daily and this foundation has cracked.. Pity I still value the core, but how to bring back its roots again.. Listen and digest and don’t answer this mail..

They do. The problem is they agree.

Maybe people at the higher levels see such posts or maybe they don't.

Will they ever take any action based on numerous negative posts outlined here or surveys that have gone out in the past few months that show that employee morale is at it's lowest in over a decade and people are not happy with current leadership ? Not.

Interesting question. I would have said no, with the possible exception of HR, since their jobs are rarely in jeopardy when it comes to layoffs. I've noticed some of the posts in the last month have all but identified execs by name below the CEO, so maybe that somehow funnels its way up to the higher levels of the organization. This may be a great place for them to get some honest feedback from the organization and employee perception. Of course, some filtering has to be done from axe grinders and other wackos.

it's actually the talk of several cafeterias, we know not everything is relevant or true but when senior management start saying why certain posts should not have access to certain posts then a lot more is being offloaded here than people think,, also a great insight into how middle management, I.T. Staff and production staff can vent issues that H.R. can pick up idea's to report to their Exec's. Don't forget Mother Mining's Speak Up initiative, if something is drilling you , speak up and they will get you in the long run but deal with your concern for a while
