Does Union Pacific’s decision to stop shipping fertilizer right now make sense to anyone? What the he-l are they up to now? Are they doing their part so we have a food shortage?

Maybe they should shut down a few more yards and repair facilities , double down on these fine business decisions
Yes. Part of the engineered upcoming food crisis. Maybe TPTB can surprise us next time and instead of a plane crash into a food processing plant, they can have a UP train crash into one.
Still running trains slower with trip optimizer in my area. Heard 70 mph train call and tell dispatch that they were only going 45 because of trip optimizer and the response was yeah we know and that’s right. Saving fuel when they are under scrutiny to move freight faster it’s just unbelievable how out of touch this place is with reality. I guess it’s all about that stock price.
I didn't get it at all either. The UP does have a massive congestion problem that they created! I think there's going to be some dark days ahead for the UP. They're doing everything they shouldn't be doing considering the problems they have right now.
