Thread regarding BNSF Railway layoffs

STB Hearings

BNSF has fallen very far in the last 2-3 years. The STB hearings were an embarrassment to our industry, especially in listening to BNSF leaders describe it. In talking to people at BNSF, they have lost a lot of key leadership talent especially in Operations as the current COO is more concerned with his self ambitions and doesn’t really have the experience/knowledge to understand what is truly going on. He was too scared to show at the STB hearings.

Look no further than who represented CN at the hearings and note the difference in understanding the Operations & leadership and you will know where part of the talent drain has gone.

People are miserable at BNSF. So sad to see this once great company fall so far.

It's true. CN has been actively recruiting BNSF's top talent for the past few years and it shows. Many talented railroaders walking away from BNSF and class 1 railroads in general.
