I don't see why anybody would be worried. I started looking as soon as the first news of Musk's involvement became public (I don't want to work for his version of Twitter) and I already have two offers. Don't wait for things to get worse and layoffs to begin. Start looking now and leave on your own terms.

Having been laid off by a sillycon valley company at the height of COVID in 2020, I can say that life goes on. There are other jobs out there. You just need to adjust your expectations.
