Why would you overpay for the same garden hose you could get anywhere else?
I wouldn't buy anything a hometown store except maybe a garden hose. Sears is known for not standing behind any of their products or service when things go wrong.....and they will.
It would very much surprise me if any of the auxiliary Sears departments, such as portrait studios and optical shops, survive anywhere other than possibly the San Juan store.
Hate to break it to you, but Hometown is on its way out too. According to their website (which is probably outdated) there are roughly 250 of them now, down from over 300 just a couple of years ago. The other 250 franchisees are just waiting for their contracts to run out.
If there were Sears portait whatevers left then yes I would care about them too. But there aren't.
And I care more about Sears portrait studios than any hometown store. Are there any left, or is Transformco working to bring them back?
I care more about Hometowns than full lines because for most zip codes we are far more likely to interact with a hometown. And most people go to Sears for hardlines not clothes and they have those.
@1ccw+1guVjdpR No one cares? I do, my wife does, my friends do. So certainly not nobody. We very much care about Sears Hometowns so shove your assumptions somewhere.
Agreed. What is the count of full line stores still in operation?
Maybe the question should be clarified as how many FULL LINE Sears are still open. Be realistic, no one cares about Sears "Hometown" stores.
That Sears list is incomplete. Total count is a bit over 300.
