I always get a little perplexed, when I read RMS will have no layoffs; based solely on the fact, they have contracts backed up. yet, no one considers the logistics of acquiring the parts needed for “said” contracts. Not to mention the current fuel cost.
A much broader vision is needed when calculating future layoffs. Please, don’t get me started on the recent drop in stock. on that note, consider the move from Massachusetts to Virginia of headquarters. A move that will decrease taxes- expense what does that tell you?
Several months ago someone posted a top 10 method of how Raytheon gets rid of people. The approaches didn't all adhere to a time frame. There was one that made mention of laying off around all holidays as studies show it makes less of a psychological impact on people that remain. I suspect they will start there, and then find ways to make it so painful for people (Unpaid Furlough?) that they will have no choice but to leave.
Someone should report these practices so that Raytheon can accrue a third (on top of the two pre-existing) government investigations.
I expect mini layoffs right before Thanksgiving and Christmas. That's how they roll.
I have been trying to get laid off for the past 5 years, but they just won't do it. So I have been just slacking off and accumulating wealth that I don't need. So sad and frustrated, LOL.
Hopefully before June, I could use the time off! All the chosen ones were given the heads up on the 12 mos. 'merger of Equals' separation package.
Previous post mentions RMD BU so RTN only. Said admins will be gone by end of April.
I noticed the "Tcodes" lately are contractors. I am an admin and haven't heard of anyone being gone. Is the previous post about admins for Raytheon only, or does that include Pratt & Whitney?
July and September? That's what was said last year and nothing happened. Also previous post said RMD laid off admins but now too much work and no layoffs? Interested in SAS specifically El Segundo and former RTN corporate.
July and September
Depends on business unit. RMD has too much work to lay people off.
I predict layoffs to occur some time in the future.
