Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Problems

We finally got the financial status of Air Force One project. It was dismal as we fully expected. But this is a relatively minor problem relative to all of Boeing's other long list of problems.

Boeing lacks competent and experienced engineers and engineering managers with no prospects of changing this reality.

Airbus backlog is double the Boeing backlog. COMAC backlog is already half the Boeing backlog. Both are increasing while Boeing's is decreasing.

Boeing has been selling 737Maxs at a loss since the end of the 20 month grounding. How many 737Maxs will we need to sell to break even given the development and law suit costs? 737Max-10 may need to develop a crew alerting system if not certified this year...and FAA just stated this year certification is not likely.

How many 787s will we need to sell to break even given the development cost and the now nearly one year delivery shutdown for manufacturing defects?

How many 777Xs will we need to sell to break even given the development cost and current non-certifiable FAA status?

How many USAF 767 tankers will we need to sell to break even given the development cost and non-operational USAF status.

How many NASA crew launches will we need to sell to break even on Starliner project given the development cost? And how will it be launched in future since we rely on Russian rocket engines?

How much more Boeing real estate is left to sell off to generate cash flow for executive bonuses?

Air Force One Has to be done by u.s. citizens it’s generally classified due to the fact the President Flies on it. Which is the reason Boeing has all these problems because They have tried to outsource most of their engineering.

Just go walk out & look at the Renton line.... about 80% of those workers are uneducated & only got the job through their momy, daddy, sister, brother, uncle, aunt. When all you do is hired u qualified workers you get sh!t product.

What I find amazing is the Boeing stock hawks like Jim Cramer, Seeking Alpha, Simple Flying and Yahoo Finance, etc. who continue to push their stock. I guess there are still clueless and naive investors to be scammed. Anyone who works there or has worked there knows the reality.

What I find most amazing about the demise of Boeing is how accurately predicted this was by the 2008 Bob Bogash Not Acceptable discussion and all the comments from the best Boeing people at the time. Too bad Boeing didn't listen to their best people and chose instead to motivate them to leave.

Don't know bout more real estate being sold but there is some talk of selling Philly helicopter site to Bell. Lots of executives leaving in next year or so.

And what happens if the recent 737NG bizarre China Eastern accident turns out to be the result of bad manufacturing or the long outdated design that doesn't comply with modern safety regulations and has been endlessly exempted by the FAA recently shown to be a Boeing pawn like DOJ and Congress. Zero accountability these days for corruption and negligent ho-----e. Sad.
