Reading comprehension is fundamental to understanding the message people are trying to convey.
You may have missed the part about people being deeply invested in the retirement program and it's not a retirement program you can take with you to a non RR connected job.
If you work for UP and you feel it’s the worst company in America what does that say about you? Are you too lazy to look for another job? Companies across the nation are begging for workers. Do you just like to complain and stay for that reason? If you work for UP, and you have other options, you are a fool.
UP wants to pay me $500 if someone I recommend to apply is hired, that's an easy $500 PER hired individual...
I have recommended NO ONE.
IF I did, I'd make a list of people I hate and ask them to apply. MOST of us still here are only hanging on because we feel we're in too deep with regards to the retirement and even some of those folks are walking away due to rapidly diminishing quality of life.
I remember when that 16% was at 11%. The CEOs number was at 5% or 6% briefly, then somehow it went back up. That 16% is in no way accurate. If the UP has 36,000 employees, then there's just under 6,000 employees that recommend working for the UP. Now guess the ratio of how many of those almost 6000 employees are managers. If you want a more accurate percentage, then apply for a job at the UP. I really think your percentage of people that recommend the UP will be closer to zero.
