Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Pay people well and they will not leave

All that management needs to do is look at how much better paid experts doing the same job in other companies are and it will be clear to them what needs to be done so that those whose knowledge is needed and difficult to replace do not leave BH. It’s awful how much some of them are underpaid here. However, the management is still wondering how it is possible for so many people to leave the team all of a sudden.......

@5rdr+1gsKvRjO is absolutely spot on, stock buyback to enrich upper management only works a few times, they'll have to stand on their own two feet going forward

The good ones have already gone bye-bye.

The only ones left are the ones that tried to get out, but no one else would take them. So, the bottom line is that the ones that could grow the company exited and the ones that aren't worth keeping are still here collecting a paycheck!

Reality is that currently BKR employees are way overpaid for majority of the jobs based on ROI.

So, suck it up Buttercup and start producing a return that is worthy of your compensation.

Seriously though. I've had recruiters reach out letting me know that I should be making $90k more than I am right now. It's insane and completely insulting. They'd rather pay ASPIRE kids better than those with years of experience, and fast track them to SPB with straight out of college. Oh, and they get higher raises than the rest of us!
