The amount of talent walking out the door is mind boggling. Today I heard of 5 more super smart people leaving, let alone the bright talent over the past months and year. The knowledge gap is widening beyond comprehension.

I suspect many products are poor performing, are in a maintenance mode, or not many net new clients.
All of the software will be milked until it is dead. Vista needs someone to sell a conglomerate of legacy software to (but it still makes money) . Look at Broadcom when they bought CA and Symantec. Do you see cutting edge technologies with massive investments?
Milk that cash cow till it doesn't produce.

The ELT f’d up so much that these experts could not think their way out of this mess.
So the only way to fix it was to sell this piece of ex------t, initiate a 15% layoff and cause morale to plummet.
This is all on the ELT. They are a product of their own awful decisions.
So talking about the deal going thru is not even as bad as what got us here in the first place - bad ELT decisions.
No one is backing out of the deal, and to be honest, it wouldn't be just ELT that's harmed but every stockholder, which most employees and former employees are. I'm really, really baffled by comments wishing the deal to go sour.

Shortsighted and self-centered, the Citrix ELT waited too long to boost the salaries of the key (essential) employees across the whole company. Now TIBCO leadership will inherit the challenge of solving the rapid talent attrition that now seems out of control.
The only good news, customers are already seeing the results of the workforce decline and many are likely looking for Plan B options to shift their needs to competitors. Over time that should ease the workload burden of the skilled employees that are left behind to service this shrinking customer base. Meanwhile, the outlook remains bleak.
Hearing the fellows and distinguished engineers are leaving in cvad land. Outlook looks bleak.
The smart people have been leaving for quite some time now.
