Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Who is going to be left to do the work?

More than half of my team left the company this year. No new hires. Yet we are being threatened by layoffs everyday and see them really happening at certain parts of the company.
What’s the deal here? Who is going to do the work if we’re all going to be let go in the end. Do they plan to outsource certain parts or what?

The exodus in Marketing continues. Everyone has left, or is interviewing. New org changes announced 2 weeks ago already have massive holes in it. The GTFO train is leaving the station without an empty seat. Buh bye

I'm one of the few employees left on my team. I told my manager that I've seen the ELT be rewarded with retention bonuses and I want mine now or I'm leaving.

As a result, I've been given a 24% increase in salary but was asked not to share this with anyone. I'll still plan to leave, eventually, because I no longer believe Citrix has a future. For now, I'll take the extra compensation. Don't wait, demand your salary raise now!

I would agree if the stress is hurting your mental or physical well being, the pay out is not worth it. If however you can put on cruise control, do as little as possible, and relax for the next 2-3 months why wouldn't you. You can always leave if the acquisition happens and you do not get laid off.

If you've survived the mental torture and anxiety of working at Citrix, knowing that you may lose your job in the very near future, then I have a question for you. Is the expected severance payment that all you Citrix (10+ year) employees are waiting for really worth it?

Life is too short to put yourself through this ongoing pain that was not your fault. So, find the courage to leave now and don't look back. You deserve better, and you know it. Don't let the ELT treat you like fearful cattle. Have some self-respect. Move on...

you are correct, people are leaving and on top of that, Citrix is still letting people go.
If you are the fortunate one that has some bargaining power and willing to stay.. you should probably try to get something out of it, a promotion or a raise at least.
there are still work need to be done, what we are seeing is it's very hard to hire new blood because the current state of the company. I see for some position they are willing to pay higher salary (15%~20% than current position) but still have hard time filling the role..
