Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

How do you feel about the CEO making $200 Million in a year?

Is anybody worth that kind of money?

He deserves every penny. I hope he makes double someday.

Makes me feel sick.

It is nauseating to see people like Jeff bozos throwing billions to do a vanity ride above the atmosphere instead of building a school, a hospital, funding science arts, taking care of elderly. It is not enough for him to be a billionaire. He is still so needy to get satisfaction from jumping inside a small plane for a few minutes. Total low class. And then he fights the poor warehouse workers who want to unionize.

Our current condition is not sustainable.

I don’t pay it, so yes, totally worth it. His job is to keep me employed.

Better to ask if BK or BS deserved it. But OP wants his buddy BK back…

This is blatantly misleading headline(designed to get clicks) if not flat out fake news.
This is "estimated value" of Gelsinger's pay package that REQUIRES stock price to increase significantly.
From OregonLive: "Those stock options and grants are structured to be worthless to Gelsinger without an enormous turnaround in Intel’s share price."

I don't believe Gelsinger made any actual $ on his stock grants yet due to stock being lower now.

It's a lot of money for sure, it's tough to justify 1 person is worth the pay of 2000+ employees. If his big bet works out with all these new fabs and expansions - and the stock goes to $100+ in the next few years... yah I guess he would be worth the money. He does a good job playing ball with world leaders. How much does the man meeting with the President and world leaders deserve? He also donates half his income to charity

It is inflated by more than an order of magnitude. He does not deserve it , nor does the head of Apple and many other CEOs.

It's too much but they play the game while they write the rules of the game.

All of us are just peons.
