I always was in a bit of disbelief, (after closing 16 stores in 2020 and the trajectory of online sales) Nordstrom was going to open a new full-line store (even if it was only a relocation). I understand the reason to an extent, the store is oak park I assume is old and out dated, not to mention huge by 2022 stands 200,000 sq, absolutely no way they need or use all this space, hence why the new relocated store was suppose to be just over 100,000 sq.
I assume now they'd rather spend the Penny's to do some updates to that store at it's current location or plan to close it whenever the lease permits.
Anyone have any insider information?
