Thread regarding Commscope Inc. layoffs

I still get “This is my last day here” emails

I haven't noticed that the attrition slowed down at all. That's a little worrying. The remaining employees are increasingly overloaded. I wonder what the future holds for those who stay here?

@2xue+1goDKinB the new BoD member ported in from Carlyle is affectionately named the "Velvet Hammer" by her former colleagues at one of her previous employment. She actually love that name!
I expect that she will be deployed imminently to start hammering costs down!

All BUs are terrible and people are fleeing. I can't believe I'm stupid enough to still be here. Take care of yourself and get out.

Did you notice the new BoD member who's from Carlyle and used to work for McKinsey & Company? Sure, don't listen to employees but listen to senior management who is busy protecting themselves and their friends, then bring in someone who'll cut costs the old-fashioned way ("off with their heads"). It's not going to be pretty.

"I wonder what the future holds for those who stay here? "
Decimation by a 1000 cuts!
Perhaps the Velvet Hammer has been ported in by Carlyle to advise on how to start hammering down costs by any means necessary. If that's case, then I'd expect a massive round of "right sizing" in the not too distant future. Its always the employees who pay the price which is why they are the company most valuable asset, but not in the way they might think. Not valued, but expendable. God forbid that the management could start doing their job and manage Comm into being a successful company. A winner!
