Thread regarding Sears layoffs

You are now more likely to live near an NFL Stadium than a Sears Department store

There are now 16 non-liquidating Sears stores. Additionally, there are 7 Appliance & Mattress (aka Home & Life) stores. That brings the total to 23 unique locations. There are 30 NFL stadiums in the United States. Can you believe this was once the world's largest retailer?

Additionally, there are 300-some (give or take 50 let's say) Sears Hometown stores. I live closer to a Sears than an NFL stadium.

Yes! All the assets have been unlocked, and all the funds taken from them have been transferred to you-know-who's bank account.

Over the last several years, we have worked hard to transform our business and unlock the value of our assets. Soon our transformation will be complete and we will be able to better serve our customers.
