Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Union Activity In Deep South

Everyone down here is tired of getting profiled. Tired of being sent home / schedules changed. Even when you go to MKHRBP they say to follow posted schedule. My FE DS was fired for calling out so much that she cried to A R and they brought her trifling self back to cause more havoc.

A group of us in multiple stores are being treated the same way. We found out after hooking up on FB.

Seeking unionization rep. For assistance.

This area of Houston each of you are talking about should be getting some serious attention. There’s no way corporate could be letting these accusations go without at the least looking into them. All I’m hearing is “Lawsuit”

Where do I sign up ? Region 15 in the Houston area is horrible. Managers never answer any calls for upset customers. Xpo is robbing us blind. The market Mgr is only here for a paycheck. The HRBP follows him around like a puppy dog.

The mkt Mgr and mkhrbp walk together like they are building a case and always whispering in each other’s ear. It’s freakin horrible.

With all the terminating and profiling of certain associates ? A union at this point is the only way to go.

We are having our first meeting after Tuesday’s twilight meetings.

The time has come where unionizing is the only thing that will help resolve the majority of the issues.

Stores have had labor hours cut to the bone, and the one associate covering three departments is expected to do a never ending worklist. Schedules are changed daily, and if you don't show up because you didn't rearrange your life around, you're written up. Pay raises are no where remotely close to cost of living, and long term associates are getting screwed by new hires making the same or more. People calling out management for se-ual harassment being terminated for bogus reasons as soon as the investigation ends. The list goes on and on.

Unionizing will give the employees a collective voice to which corporate will have to listen to, and can not sweep under the rug.

@Union Sc-m, wanna take up that offer, and watch as you get knocked out before you get close to me?

First Union Thug to approach me gets a Craftsman hammer to the throat. How about that?

Union reps just need to know where to go look and who to talk to. Even the associate opinion survey shows most stores are unhappy. Scores barely reach 50-60%. So Corp. sends the same yahoo’s in to speak to the associates that the associates are disgruntled against.

I love our managers always sit in the training room all night and all day why the poor cashier upfront has a line out the door

The unions can’t even unionize the car manufacturing plants in the Deep South, what makes you think they can unionize a Lowes retail store?

If someone would was to offer me a card I’d sign it. There’s never enough help on the front end. My BF works overnight and he is told to stay fulltime hours when he is only PT because knowbody comes to work. The management team doesn’t even come to the backroom to check on the truck. When you call a manager for assistance you have to go to the office and find them.
