I was just reading an article on Retail Dive on how Lowe's did great during the pandemic because of this and that and it made me feel sick to my stomach. Lowe's did well because it continued to treat its employees like cr-p and because it didn't care that it was putting their lives in danger. The only thing that mattered was the almighty dollar. You won't find that in an article anywhere, though...

I haven't always had the best outlook when it came to Lowe's but when we finally got the PPE 2 years ago, we were told not to touch any of it as the District Manager was going around and collecting it to hand out to the public in Lowe's buckets while the cameras rolled of course. We had no masks and no gloves for almost 3 months because of the narrative they needed to create.
There's something positive at Lowe's? Since when?
If they call me i will give them a price.
I don't know honestly. I wonder how much companies pay for negative advertising?
It's quite easy to pull off. Find a puppet, dress him up in a suit, feed him a script and VOILA! you have your phony press release. Make up the numbers, use the designated buzzwords, and just nod and smile. The mass media is fake right? So why not participate? Who was that who said "if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth"?
Not going to find an article like that anywhere. Lowe's has a PR team that will make sure articles that make the company look bad (more that it looking like isolated issues) disappear.
