First strike since the 1970s on Union Gas sites is now inevitable. STO Local 999 lockout/strike starts on the 25th May. Enbridge is shutting down construction and integrity jobs, bringing in ‘scab’ labour all to prove a point.

The district unions vote next week. If they join the strike, it’s going to get very ugly and very public. Union Gas anyone?

Yes it is a part of our compensation
They managed to cut that back too (5% down to 2.5%), just like our pensions and benefits that were also cut.

What’s inflation now… 6.7% ???? Half the pension’s purchasing power will be wiped out 6 years into retirement.
