Cuts are still just speculation but I notice that my boss looks more and more nervous, which is a red flag to me. Any insights, please? I am very anxious because layoff would really hurt me now and I am failing to get a new offer.

Well, them free stock options recently doled out have got to be monetized at some point so that the lucky few can depart heavily laden with riches! To that end, expect the SP to briefly shine like a super nova in order to facilitate free options monetization.
The market is good? Okay, I’ll give you that for arguments sake. But that doesn’t equate to CommScope being good. Their debt so large, the internal problems so deep, the exec team so rich that I’m not sure any of it will be fixed. Golden parachutes being passed around but only for the select few.
CommScope WAS good at one time, it used to be a great place to work (even with old school mentality rule). Not fun anymore, it’s segmented, secretive and there is not enough koolaid to go around.
Run. I am in management and the entire Ruckus Cloud engineering team quit a week ago. Retroactive price increases have partners livid. I am leaving in a few days. Get off this sinking ship now.
The market is still good. CommScope benefits are terrible and it's very difficult to hire at CommScope in all positions. People are still flying out the door (because cr---y benefits and 50+ hours/week is bad). It seems odd that there would be a need for layoffs unless they finally lay off some of the many, many Director, Sr. Director, VP level who suck up $$ and offer limited/no value.
If you're a legacy employee and not mapped to CommScope pay/benefits, you've been completely screwed by the company. It's way past time to leave.
May be your boss is not able to get through any interviews
Layoff not needed at Ruckus. People leaving voluntarily. Unable to hire replacements. Headcount and average Intelligence dropping faster than the stock price.
Something will probably go down tomorrow or next Thurs. ER is the week after next.
