Union Pacific will continue to leverage technology to reduce yard and terminal management related salary and benefit expenses. They have already procured over $1.25 million for resources to document and monitor TE and Y employees and mechanical forces. it will be a one to punch with one man crews on the road and (TCM) total continuous monitoring in the yard and industry.
By 2030 some trains and single railcars will be operated remotely.
Geringer rightfully stood up for maintenance of way employees and they will not be monitored or have any management reductions because their safety record and productivity continues to improve.

It's going to happen! Lance has stated, shareholder's will gain and profit at costs per capita.
Welp it's true. My super just told me to prepare for the worst next month.
Managers cause more problems than fixing the problem
If you get rid of the managers, then who are you going to blame with all your problems?
Just like some union employees have no business here and need to go. This works both ways.
Some managers have no buisness being out here and NEED to go.
@zvf: you probably won’t survive either with or without a manager. You sound like one of the clowns that doesn’t want to work, brings his lunch to work and sits down to eat instead of pulling his paperwork, or someone that does everything possible to not move a train or tries to slow down enough to die and get tow in instead of making the terminal. I know everyone is upset about the contract situation including myself, but getting rid of any employee, manager or union isn’t going to help. Why would you want to see anyone outside of the executives lose their jobs?
Is Fritz one of them?
Where did you get this information? Probably just another troll posting.
Great news! Double the budget for the free hot dogs!
Oh no! How will we ever survive without our managers?!
